2021 Toyota Tundra pickup truck gets small price bump, no changes

The 2021 Toyota Tundra pickup truck gets a $100 price bump over the 2020 model to start at $35,270, including $1,595 destination fee, the automaker announced Thursday.

Despite marginal price increases throughout the lineup, the 2021 Tundra is identical to the 2020 version, which was last significantly updated for 2014. Small price bump, big power gains

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek comes with a modest $100 price bump but more standard equipment and more power. A new Sport trim highlights a more powerful engine option that is only $600 more than the base engine, the automaker announced Thursday.

A common gripe from shoppers interested in Subaru’s smallest crossover SUV was that they needed more power than the standard 152-horsepower 2.0-liter flat-4. Subaru has mollified some by taking the Forester’s 181-hp 2.5-liter flat-4 and making it standard in the new Sport trim and the top Limited trim. The larger boxer engine trails the smaller engine in efficiency by

Plug-in 2021 BMW X5 SUV gets $3,300 price bump, big pump in performance and range

BMW’s newest crossover with a plug will manage more than double the all-electric range of its predecessor, the automaker announced Wednesday.

The 2021 BMW X5 xDrive 45e upgrades from a 308-horsepower turbo-4 with a 9-kwh battery to a 389-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 with a 24-kwh battery. All performance measures improve for 2021, but the price only jumps from $63,095 to $66,395, including $995 destination.

The all-electric range of the plug-in crossover SUV increases from 14 miles to 30 miles, but BMW seems more intent on overall performance than maximizing range. The turbocharged inline-6 and electric motors generate 443 pound-feet of
