Family minivan meets SUV style

The upcoming Kia Sedona minivan looks ready to tackle more than just a steep parking lot.

The updated minivan broke cover this week in Korea, ahead of its anticipated debut in the U.S. next week. The Kia Carnival, as it’s known in other markets around the world, features a distinctly tougher look liberally borrowed from Kia’s mega-seller Telluride and related Hyundai Palisade crossovers.

Dodge, Kia have highest owner satisfaction; Tesla has the worst

That new car smell may turn sour for owners of certain brands, according to J.D. Power’s annual 2020 Initial Quality Study released Wednesday. Owners of new Tesla models reported the largest number of problems and complaints within 90 days of ownership, while owners of Dodge and Kia models reported the fewest number of problems. 

Dodge is the first domestic automaker in the 34-year history of the survey to rank highest for initial customer satisfaction. It tied Kia for only 136 consumer complaints per 100 vehicles. Tesla is the only automaker this year to not give J.D. Power access to vehicle

Ford Ranger, Jeep Cherokee, Tesla Model S have most American content: study

What is the most American car? The Ford Ranger tops the Cars.com 2020 American-Made Index released yesterday, but the answer for other American-made, import-badged vehicles isn’t so simple.

The annual study found that Honda has a greater percentage of American-made cars than GM or Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which is the parent company of iconic American brands such as Jeep, Ram, and Dodge. The Big Three American automakers of Ford, GM, and FCA aren’t even as American-made as California electric vehicle maker Tesla.
